Media Literacy Key Concepts

The Key Concepts discusses media and how it shapes our perceptions and our sense of reality. It reminds us that much of the Media that we are exposed to has commercial implications and as businesses they are focused on making a profit. The production that is created can and will espouse a certain way of life, or social and political views. These “views” maybe contrary to your own so they must be evaluated carefully. Ultimately, Media can be a beneficial and sometimes necessary part of our lives. If we approach it in an educated way we will be able to make the best decision possible for ourselves and our families.
